@Dylan Nguyen he supports smaller ships but they don’t all seem to be up to task. Blew the transmission on the keep,and gave him a truck while sick he can barely drive. Adding twin turbos shouldn’t be a 3 ye job especially for a high profile job.

The gallardo taking this long is questionable considering it’s fab work and a turbo. All the needed parts are available and your coming up on what 2 years? I’d be questioning weather or not keeping it there. If the cars still in one piece go get it and take it somewhere else

For everyone wondering why it’s taking so long to twin turbo the G, the engine had to also be rebuilt, and in the middle of COVID no parts were available so he does have those two excuses but it is taking a long time especially since Covid has kinda dropped off

Your going to be happy when you get rid of cars. There is always a sense of relief when things go away and money comes in.

Not only would I be taking my car back from them, I would be suing them for keeping it hostage for 2+ years. The amount of money lost in content that could have been happening with that car is easily 6 figures. I know your a nice guy James and I respect that, but a line needs to be drawn. DDE's Ferrari had never been done before by anyone and that was finished way before a turbo kit on a car that's been done countless times.

You're the nightmare customer who jumps to things like suing over something so trivial. You don't know anything about the process, and you obviously can't do it yourself so you look for the cheapest option, then sue when it doesn't work out. You're also a reason small businesses are so terrified to get into this kind of work. It's too easy to ruin someone's life over an inconvenience these days. The shop that James chose was a risk he chose to take. He could have gone with Sheepy, or UGR and knew he had those options. He basically volunteered to be a learning experience for the shop doing the Gallardo. Just because they've had issues, does not mean they deserve to be put in the dirt with a legal suit. Especially given all of the hurdles small businesses have had to overcome during COVID. Timeframes in the automotive world are virtually meaningless, and it's incredible that shops like Sheepy are able to work so quickly on a process they've been developing for over a decade. You pay $$$ for that kind of turnaround time. He has every right to be irate, take his car back, and see if they can recoup lost parts and money. Does he have grounds to sue? probably could find some, just like anything these days. Is it right to sue? probably not. The shop is having a hard time with a complicated project. They did nothing with malicious intent, or deliberately tried to scam James.

@Mike B Thank you, Captain Obvious, for stating the grossly apparent. That doesn’t change the fact that B Rogue has done more of these builds than I care to count - very much like UGR has. AND, much like UGR, it doesn’t take well over 2 years to install a twin turbo kit. Nor does it take that amount of time to rebuild a new engine and then install that same kit on that one. They could’ve built him a new Gallardo (from scratch) from the ground up in that amount of time.

Just had an idea. What if you sell the Veyron for just under market value to ensure it sells in a timely fashion and then sell the TRX for just a little over market value if possible and use that money to put forward to phase 2 and 3 of the house project that way you can still focus your loan payments on the actual house and be able to pay off the additional, fun projects both at the same time and ultimately accomplish all the goals you want in selling the Veyron, finishing and paying off the house, and also adding on those fun ideas to the property. Just thought I'd throw that idea out there, thanks

They’re just not built to last, but only to perform. That’s why a few thousand is considered “high miles” on a super/hyper car, and it’s totally acceptable since 99% of these cars owners have disposable money and are fine with either just trading for a new one or paying the ridiculous amount of cash to get them fixed when something inevitably goes wrong.

Maybe it's just me but one of my favorite parts of the Gallardo is the sound. Turbos sound cool but they sound mostly the same car to car whereas that beautiful v10 sound is one of a kind. I know it's very hard to find parts for them but I'd love to see someone build out an NA gallardo with an Effspot exhaust
